Before I get too far into this review, I just want everyone to know that this has been my favorite discovery during my coffee scene exploration. When Jaclyn first mentioned this place, I was excited because I hadn't been to a proper neighborhood bakery in Atlanta. And I've lived here for more than 20 years. And then I found out they brewed Batdorf & Bronson coffee, which made the anticipation that much greater.

So with high expectations Jaclyn and I proceeded to go to the Virginia Highlands location. Nestled in between some houses and some amazing local ships, Alon's Bakery is at first a very unassuming place. But then you open the doors, and you enter into a corner store style bakery where you can get just about everything. Coffee, bread, breakfast, lunch, dinner, wine , and so much more. Alon's has something for just about everyone, and ever since my first trip, I have been back there religiously.

Atmosphere- From the moment you pull into the parking lot, you get a very neighborly vibe. Once inside, the feeling continues as you're surrounded by everything that makes up a true neighborhood bakery. The smell, the setup, and the clean and open feel make this one of the most inviting places I've ever been to.

Coffee- Serving Atlanta's own Batdorf & Bronson, the coffee is what you'd expect. Delicious. Alon's Bakery offers the more common B&B blends, and you can't go wrong with any of them.
Service- Friendly, courteous, and always willing to help. One of the best things I can say is that no matter how crowded Alon's gets, the staff stays very patient and does not rush any customer. And somehow the lines are always moving.
Location- Sitting in the northern end of Virginia Highlands, Alon's Bakery is in a very nice and very friendly part of town. It's a perfect place to come grab a bite, grab a cup of coffee, and go for a casual stroll.
Legitimacy- With 2 locations that have been operating for 20 years, Alon's Bakery is becoming a mainstay in Atlanta. Serving known local coffee and serving as a go to lunch spot for the working crowd, Alon's is a very legitimate operation.
Overall Rating - 4.5 Stars
